This week on the 24th August 2021 the Government has announced an extension to the date ending recognition of the CE Mark in England, Scotland and Wales, goods marked with CE marking will now continue to be placed in the market until 1st January 2023.
This extension means that many product sectors now have until 1st January 2023 to prepare to use the UKCA Mark, allowing an additional year to apply new product safety markings for most products. The UKCA Mark can be used now and is encouraged by businesses to start using it as soon as possible before it becomes mandatory.
