25 Years of Welling

Welling is a leading ironmongery specialist in the UK, and is pleased to commemorate its 25th anniversary. Our expertise in hardware for glass and timber doors has been recognized since 1999, when the visionary founder Richard initiated the company. The humble beginnings started in Longborough, in a simple office that didn’t even have basic amenities. The company’s growth trajectory saw new team members join with Bertie in 2005 and Edward in 2010. This expansion led to a move from Longborough to a more spacious location at the former American air base in Upper Rissington.

The team has been diligent and proactive, frequently visiting construction sites and supplying builders with our much-needed products. In 2013, Welling reached a significant landmark by acquiring our own building in Bourton on the Water. Even though initially there was a shortage of office space, the property also included a large warehouse area, providing opportunities for further growth, with large stocks and excellent service, including 6pm cut off for next working day delivery, we are well placed to care for your ironmongery needs!

Today, Welling boasts a dynamic and dedicated team, and each progress step is credited to this wonderful team. Our mission, “Making Ironmongery Easy,” has been the driving force behind Welling’s success.
