Change is happening… as the UK leaves the EU at the end of the year our CE marked goods will be changing to UKCA marking from the 1st January 2021.

What this means to you?

Products that previously required the CE Marking will now require the UKAC (UK Conformity Assessed) marking, during this transition you may find products still CE marked of which you can continue to use however some products purchased after the 1st January may be marked UKAC, but some products may have both marks as warehouses and business adjust to the new requirements.

Both marks will be recognized throughout 2021, but the CE mark with no longer be recognized within the UK from the 1st January 2022 on newly manufactured products. This will not apply to existing stock that has been manufactured before the 1st January 2021.

The UKCA mark on products will only be recognized within the Great British market including, England, wales and Scotland. Northern Ireland will require the CE Marking or UKNI Marking.

As these changes begin to take place within the UK market if you have any technical enquiries please speak with our experience and knowledgeable team at Welling.
